Canada_Day8_3 dyas @ Le Westin, Montréal

The Westin in Montreal is a beautiful hotel and very close to everything. We can walk to almost everywhere which is very convenient. This hotel is a very new hotel in Montreal. Looks nice and you need key to take elevator to different floor. Very safe quiet environment! The only complaint that I had was the interior design is not USER friendly. I meant the placement of the furniturs, tools or equipments are kind of awkward. Not enough lights, very few drawers, no towel racks or hangers and ..... But it's beautiful. They tried to create the Hip and Chic ambiance!!

Outside view from the street!

The last day in Montreal was a bad weather day. We can hear the thunder showers and storm in our hotel room. I said to Ira, "hey, why not stay in the hotel to have lunch and relax! We paid a lot for this hotel but we normally not in the hotel!" So after we check out around noon, we head to the restaurant next by, gaZette.

Foods in this restaurant are well presented, delicate, and carefully priced. You can taste the fresh ingredients. Every dish was unexpected well done. We had wonderful 2 hour lunch in this restaurant.

3 different breads with 3 different spreads to start. This kept Remy busy for a while so he could be quiet.

Cream cheese with chive, Olive Tapenade and butter.

My appetizer, Fresh sea scallops!

Side salad with wonderful little spring flowers!

Fiddlehead Soup. I finally had something with the fiddlehead! Fiddle head is a kind of fern. Canadian people eat it and I hardly see this in the U.S. market.

Menu for our lunch specials!

Giant and succulent sea scallops.

Ira's main dish!

My main course!

Remy had a good time with his bread!!!
