Making Peach Jam

Our peaches are ready. As usual, we have lots of peaches. In stead of giving all out at once, we decided to make jam or jelly to preserve those peaches. So we can enjoy them later.

1. Put all the jars and lids to boil to sanitize.

2. Wash all the lids and rings and get them ready for boiling.

3. Sanitize everything in the boiled water for 7-8 minutes.

4. Picking fruits while getting everything sanitized in the kitchen.

Peaches are all red and ready to be picked!!!

5. Brought all the picked peaches into the kitchen.

6. Washing peaches in the sink.

7. Done with wash. Cut all the bad parts out from peaches.

8. Boiling them in the hot water for one minutes.

9. As soon as they are out from the boiled water, put them in the cold water. Then place them in the bowl to get cool off to peel the skins.

10. It's so easy to peel the skin! They came right off.

11. Cut the peaches into pieces and remove their pits.

12. Add lemon juice to prevent from browning.

13. Add pectin and mix with peaches and juice.

14. Put all of the mixtures into a big pot and cook them. Add sugar when the mixtures were boiling.

15. Pull the thick peach jelly into clean jars.

16. Put the lids on right away and tighten them.

17. Cook all the packaged jams to boil to sanitize.

18. Take them out from the boiled water and cool them over night.
